Bethel Woods: Where Weird Al Yankovic Fans Find Musical Bliss
I still remember my first experience with "Weird Al" Yankovic back in 1985. I was just a 10-year-old boy, and his album Dare to Be Stupid was my introduction to a world of musical parody. Songs like "I Want a New Duck" and "Like a Surgeon" were not just funny; they were perfectly tailored to my quirky sense of humor. Little did I know that this zany artist would have such staying power in the music industry.
This past summer, I fell in love with Bethel Woods. This venue is not just a concert hall; it's a place steeped in history. Originally the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, Bethel Woods has evolved into a cultural landmark, hosting a diverse range of artists. The stunning surroundings and vibrant atmosphere create an unforgettable concert experience, and I can't wait to return for Weird Al's show.
Fast forward to today, and Weird Al is back on the concert stage with his Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour at Bethel Woods. This legendary show promises not only his iconic hits but also some fan favorites that have never been performed live before. With a super-sized band to match, the energy and production value are sure to be unforgettable.
Weird Al is not just a comedic musician; he's the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history. A five-time Grammy winner, his parodies like "Amish Paradise," "Eat It," and the platinum-selling "White & Nerdy" have shaped the comedy music landscape for over four decades. His last album, Mandatory Fun, even made history by debuting at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, a feat no comedy album had achieved before.
Opening for Weird Al is the incredible Puddles Pity Party, a 7-foot sad clown with a voice that can rival any Grammy winner. His unique blend of humor and melancholy has captivated audiences worldwide. With a show that's both life-affirming and hysterically funny, this is one concert experience I can't wait to see!
I never expected Weird Al to last, but here we are, and I couldn't be more thrilled to experience it all at Bethel Woods!
Bethel Woods Last Concert Of The Season Ended With Rod Stewart.
Rod Stewart took the stage at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on September 1, 2023. Cheap Trick opened the show for Rod Stewart.
Thousands of fans gathered on site to enjoy a warm summer night at a peaceful venue while soaking up the last concert of the season.
Rod Stewart's performance was incredible, it reminded me of a Las Vegas show. For over 2 hours, Rod Stewart sang, danced, changed outfits, chatted with the crowd and had remarkable singers, dancers and musicians also join him on stage.

"Weird Al" Yankovic has revealed that he is working on a jukebox musical! He recently appeared alongside Thomas Lennon on the Something's Burning podcast where the conversation turned to Yankovic's love for theatre.
"We're developing a Weird Al jukebox musical," he revealed, before joking, "So ten years from now it should be..."
Watch the full interview in the video above.
This comes after last year when he said that a musical is in the works, with no further details revealed at that time.
At the time, all he said was that, "We're thinking about it. We're having conversations." This came after Yankovic made his Broadway debut in a guest appearance as one of the producers in Gutenberg! The Musical!
"Weird Al" Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history. A beloved American treasure and pop culture icon, he is known around the world for his artist-approved parodies of huge hits by artists of the last four decades including Madonna, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Usher, Nirvana, Eminem, Queen, Lady Gaga, and many more. He has received 5 Grammy awards and 17 career nominations, and is one of only three artists to chart in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the previous four consecutive decades (the others being Madonna and Michael Jackson). 'Weird Al' Yankovic has tapped into his inner sad girl, cosplaying Clairo in the indie darling's new music video "Terrapin," directed by Ayo Edebiri.
In the goofy Eighties-inspired video, a suited Yankovic emerges from a prop film set house to animatedly lip sync, as background dancers twirl around him. Clairo, born Claire Cottrill, makes a few brief cameos with her band before Yankovic hijacks the keyboard for a dramatic solo.

It's the third music video from Clairo's Grammy-nominated album Charm, which was released July 2024. The singer-songwriter broke her six-year dry spell from releasing music videos with "Juna" in August, followed by "Sexy to Someone" in December.
Also marking a first, "Terrapin" is the first music video from actress and multi-hyphenate Edebiri, whose first time in the director's seat was for a Season Three episode of The Bear. (Edebiri snagged a Directors Guild of America Award nomination last month for the episode.) Celebrating the video's release on Thursday, Edebiri thanked Clairo and Yankovic on Instagram. "Lots of love," she wrote.
Clairo recently wrapped up her North American leg of her Charm tour last year, and is set to head to New Zealand and Australia later this month, before a European leg of the tour in April.
