'Weird Al' Yankovic has tapped into his inner sad girl, cosplaying Clairo in the indie darling's new music video "Terrapin," directed by Ayo Edebiri.

In the goofy Eighties-inspired video, a suited Yankovic emerges from a prop film set house to animatedly lip sync, as background dancers twirl around him. Clairo, born Claire Cottrill, makes a few brief cameos with her band before Yankovic hijacks the keyboard for a dramatic solo.

It's the third music video from Clairo's Grammy-nominated album Charm, which was released July 2024. The singer-songwriter broke her six-year dry spell from releasing music videos with "Juna" in August, followed by "Sexy to Someone" in December.

Also marking a first, "Terrapin" is the first music video from actress and multi-hyphenate Edebiri, whose first time in the director's seat was for a Season Three episode of The Bear. (Edebiri snagged a Directors Guild of America Award nomination last month for the episode.) Celebrating the video's release on Thursday, Edebiri thanked Clairo and Yankovic on Instagram. "Lots of love," she wrote.

Clairo recently wrapped up her North American leg of her Charm tour last year, and is set to head to New Zealand and Australia later this month, before a European leg of the tour in April.
