Claim Offer What to expect from 'South Park' Season 27

"South Park" Season 27 kicks off with the premiere episode, "Sermon on the 'Mount'," where the town of South Park faces a possible catastrophe. As tensions rise, Jesus makes a return to deliver a crucial message.

Expect to see your favorite characters — Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny — caught up in bizarre and often absurd situations.

Watch the teaser below:

In tonight's episode, Donald Trump continues to cozy up to the devil, while Cartman imitates conservative media personality Charlie Kirk and Mr. Mackey joins in on ICE raids.

What is 'South Park' about?

For those unfamiliar with the long-running animated series, "South Park" is an animated comedy that follows the misadventures of four boys — Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny — in the Colorado town of South Park.

Since its debut in 1997, the series has been known for its offbeat humor and sharp satire, often addressing controversial topics and current events.

What about the Paramount+ agreement?

After months of negotiations delayed by complications related to the merger between Paramount Global and Skydance, "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone secured a five-year, $300 million annual deal with Paramount Global, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The deal will bring all future "South Park" seasons to Paramount+ starting with Season 27, as well as the full back catalog of episodes.

Despite this shift, the show will still debut new episodes on Comedy Central, which is owned by Paramount, before becoming available for streaming on Paramount+.

Paramount+ currently hosts a selection of "South Park" specials, which began streaming in 2021, such as the "South Park: Post COVID" special.
